Method
Steamed chocolate and golden syrup pudding
-
1
Grease 1.75-litre (7-cup) pudding steamer, line base with baking paper.
-
2
Stir butter, sugar, syrup, honey and the water in medium saucepan over heat until butter melts and sugar dissolves. Bring to the boil, remove from heat; cool. Stir in eggs then sifted dry ingredients. Spoon pudding mixture into prepared steamer; cover pudding with greased foil, secure with lid or kitchen string.
-
3
Place steamer in large saucepan with enough boiling water to come halfway up side of steamer; simmer, covered, about 2 hours or until pudding is firm, replenishing water as necessary to maintain level.
-
4
For butterscotch sauce, stir ingredients in medium saucepan, over heat until butter melts. Simmer, uncovered, about 5 minutes or until sauce thickens slightly.
-
5
Serve pudding with sauce.
